Q: | This software does not translate the text I entered. What is wrong? |
A: | Typus does not translate, but transliterates your keystrokes. It intended to be used when you do not have native keyboard for the language you want to type in. |

|
Q: | Why can't I just buy keyboard stickers? |
A: | This would be an ideal solution. Again, this software helps people that does not have an access to the native keyboard. |

Q: | I am using Russian language and typed 's' and 'h' expecting to see 'сх', but I got 'ш'. Where is the problem? |
A: | It looks like that in Typus settings Russian letter 'ш' is mapped to 'sh' combination on US keyboard. There are two possible solutions:
1. Click some non-printable (for instance Ctrl) key after you typed 's' and then type 'h';
2. Change transliteration options, so there is one-to-one correspondence between Russian alphabet and English letter sequences. The example of such layout is GOST 16876-71. |

A: | If the application you are using supports Unicode then it can display the letters in almost any language. If it is non-Unicode program, then you need to help this application. Click your "Start" button, then go to "Control Panel"; Go to "Regional and Language Options"; Select "Advanced" tab; Select "Russian" as a language for non-Unicode programs; Apply the settings. You would need to restart your computer. |
